A groundbreaking blend of technology and engineering the wireless Rockshox Reverb AXS is the ultimate dropper post. An essential element as part of a whole new thinking in the way mountain bike components can work together to provide a seamless customizable experience for the rider out on the trail.With no cables or hoses for actuation of the post there is no mechanical delay whatsoever, an effortless push of a button is all that is required to unleash infinite, instantaneous height adjustment. Rockshox have worked hard to bring brand new internals to the AXS vision, the post return rate is now fixed to enable predictable extension in all conditions. A simple single bolt seat rail retention clamp frees up space for the wireless actuation technology to sit inline unobtrusively. To the front of the post a secondary bolt is provided for tilt adjustment allowing for perfect saddle set up on a bike with any seat tube angle. Despite all the new advancements the Reverb AXS post has exactly the same stack height as its mechanical counterpart.The lack of a fixed connection also makes installation, service, and switching the post between bikes a much easier affair. Suggested service intervals have been increased dramatically from 200 hours ride time on a mechanical Reverb post to 600 hours on the AXS. This is in part due to a simple self-service solution Rockshox have pioneered for a common problem. Where air and oil work in close proximity it’s possible for them to mix over time, this allows the post to sink into its initial stroke and results in altered return rates. Vent Valve technology is a clever valve built into the bottom of the post to allow the rider to channel air from the oil back into the air chamber without the need for workshop disassembly.The Sram AXS mobile app allows the rider to customize the controller touchpoints on the fly while also being able to view connected feedback on ideal service times and battery levels of all AXS parts. Sram suggest forty hours battery life on the Reverb Dropper Post with charging in the included cradle taking one hour. The controller takes one CR2032 lithium cell which should provide two years of battery life. Sram have taken a connected approach to all AXS lines meaning that you can pair any of the controller buttons with any part within the AXS range. The rechargeable batteries can also be swapped between components and are exactly the same fitment as road AXS.
