The Guide RS from SRAM features a redesigned 4 piston caliper with swing link lever cam and carbon lever blade. Engineered to be both light and powerful the Guide RS features swing link technology for increased braking power and faster response. The brakes stroke can be adjusted to give either a more progressive feel or a shorter more powerful response. The brakes redesigned brake lever design includes a reshaped bladder that helps to regulate air in the system for longer periods between maintenance. The Guide RS uses stainless steel heat shields between the pad and caliper reducing the brake fluid temperature by 20 degrees. The brake fluid reservoir offers a simple way to manage brake fluid and allows for ambidextrous lever placement. This makes it easy to swap the brake levers and run them Euro. The Guide RS uses 5.1 dot fluid that has a higher boiling point than Dot 4 fluid. The guide ultimate uses a timing port closure. The brakes are compatible with Match Maker X and can be integrated with RockShox XLoc and is compatible with XX and X0 Shifters.
